Who Do I Like: Picking UFC 211

It’s that time again… more sanctioned blood letting. Hooray for the fight game. UFC 211 looks to be the best PPV of 2017 thus far.

I’m not gonna waste anyone’s time here with eight pages of analysis for every fight, because no one needs or wants to wade through that much B.S. just to see some random Joe Schmoe’s picks that they are going to forget anyways within five minutes of starting their Pay-Per-Viewing. Most of the idiots out there are wrong anyways. But not me.

I’ll give my favorite bets, as well as the best pick for who I think is the best live dog. Here we go:

Jessica Andrade    +170
Joanna Jedrzejczyk    -185

Bet on Joanna if you feel like taxing the Sports Book. That’s actually a pretty good line considering she’s one of the best women MMA fighters on the planet. She’s a killer, and she won’t be losing her belt.

Demian Maia    +110
Jorge Masvidal    -120

I’m a sucker for underdogs in MMA betting. They can often be some great value, and almost anyone can win in any given fight against any body else. All it takes is one punch. With that said, Maia can/should win this fight. Maybe a late submission, otherwise via decision, because we all know those pillow fists won’t be knocking Masvidal out.

Frankie Edgar    -120
Yair Rodriguez    +110

This should be a very close, and great fight. Edgar doesn’t pressure well, but is battle-tested and has a gas tank for days. I do like Yair A LOT though, and this would easily be the biggest win of his career. I think it might just possibly be a little bit too soon for him. (Possible Fight of the Night)

Chas Skelly    -110
Jason Knight    +100

For some reason the odds are way closer than this fight will be. It’s Skelly’s to lose.

Stipe Miocic  -125
Junior Dos Santos  +150

Miocic is the best Heavyweight in years, and he’s knocking everyone out left and right. JDS is 3-3 in his last 6, and pretty much punch drunk at this point. I think he will get finished early.

Chase Sherman    -115
Rashad Coulter    +105

Who doesn’t like a heavyweight named “The Vanilla Gorilla”? Plus he’s fighting a 35 year old on short notice, so… yeah.

BEST LIVE DOG:

James Vick    -330
Marco Polo Reyes    +300

I’d pick Vick to win, but Polo Reyes is definitely getting undervalued here. He certainly could win the fight, and at 3 to 1 odds for him… that’s way to high. Worth throwing a few ducats down on.

Well that’s what I like for UFC 211. Good luck to anyone else out there, and check back later for more!

YTD: 6-2
