Welcome to Crystal Ball Run 2.0

College football is entering a brand new era with the College Football Playoff, and we are just trying to keep up. Welcome to the (hopefully) new and improved Crystal Ball Run.

Along with a handful of other sites on the Bloguin network, including Awful Announcing, we have moved to a new platform that is designed to enhance the reader experience and make it nicer for those of us writing for the site and working behind the scenes. We are still getting used to our new playbooks, so please be patient at times during the early stages of this transition. We know there could be some fumbles along the way so please feel free to let us know if you run in to any problems so we can attempt to take care of it. If you are experiencing a problem, you are likely not alone.

So, what’s new?

New types of content. In addition to our regular content that you may have grown accustomed to, we will now have the ability to highlight short pieces of content that may be of interest or relevant. We can now easily highlight great tweets found on Twitter or choice quotes from a coach or player that has caught our eye and may demand further attention. We will also be able to do some more with photos, such as a photo gallery.

Author Profiles. Some of us have ended our posts with some quick social networking links in hopes you will give us a follow if you find us interesting. Now we have a nicer and more uniform way of putting this information together at the bottom of the post. We may even let you catch a glimpse of our charming faces. Find an author you particularly enjoy? You can now easily browse all stories written by that author by clicking on the option to view all posts by the specific author as well.

So, what’s not new?

Pretty much everything else. The content is still going to be largely similar to what we have done in the past, but we will now have a better way of organizing and displaying it for you. The commenting system is still the same, so always feel free to leave your reactions and opinions about a story at any time. You can still subscribe to our newsletter and our podcast will be getting back in the swing of things soon enough. There will be some other new things coming your way as well, but you will just have to wait and see what tricks we have rolled up our sleeves.

As a reminder, we hope you will follow us on Twitter and Like us on Facebook.
