Podcast: NFL Draft thoughts, Chuckie Keeton and Las Vegas odds with Adam Kramer

There are few players in college football that are exciting to watch play as Utah State quarterback Chuckie Keeton. When he went down with an ACL injury last season it was pretty much a crime to the college football fans. When Keeton went down for the year, many wrote Utah State off in the Mountain West Conference, but the Aggies persevered through the adversity and captured the Mountain Division and gave Fresno State a run in the Mountain West Conference Championship Game. Now Utah State prepares for the 2014 season knowing their key offensive talent, Keeton, will be back and ready to go when the season kicks off in Knoxville, Tennessee against the Tennessee Volunteers. The match-up is already one of the most anticipated week-one match-ups, and Keeton’s return to the football field is one of the big reasons why.

Kevin McGuire (@KevinOnCFB) is joined by Bleacher Report lead national writer Adam Kramer (@KegsnEggs) to talk about Keeton and some other key players college football fans should know a lot more about this coming fall. In addition to Keeton, UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley and Marshall quarterback Rakeem Cato are examined. Speaking of UCLA, are they a worthwhile bet in Las Vegas to win the national championship? The latest Las Vegas national championship odds are broken down by Kramer, who suggests the era of the College Football Playoff could change the whole way we look at title odds as the season progresses.

Here is a quick rundown of some of the topics discussed in this episode of the podcast…

01:20 – How the NFL Draft schedule helps fill the void before college football season and other NFL Draft thoughts from a college football perspective

09:46 – Profiling Keeton, Hundley and Cato

16:08 – Las Vegas has set national championship odds, which are the safest bets?
