This is the time of year when some video wizards start getting an early jump on teaser videos for the next college football season. These tend to pick up a little later in the year, which may explain why this release from Nebraska may feel as though it is lacking some juice. The hype is probably still in hibernation mode.
This video may send chills down the backs of certain Nebraska fans, but for the casual fan this video may do a better job of putting you to sleep than getting eager for the upcoming season. The mix of user videos on YouTube is capitalizing on a new trend in video production — one our guy Josh Parcell is a pioneer in — but until the Huskers can manage to pump up the volume and tempo a bit, there is room for improvement in the hype game.
To be fair, Nebraska did not release the video as a hype video, but it managed to grab that tag online by some. What did you think of the video?
