The college football world received some awful news this weekend as former Auburn tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen was killed in a car accident. The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer has all of the details about this untimely accident as Lutzenkirchen was a passenger in a one-car accident.
Lutzenkirchen finished his Auburn career with 59 receptions and 14 touchdowns and was a member of the 2010 National Championship team. He tried out for the St Louis Rams but had moved on to the next stage in his life which included being a volunteer assistant coach at a school in Montgomery, Alabama.
An outpouring of love, respect and mourning took place on social media yesterday as his coaches, friends, teammates, opponents and family shared their feelings….
