CBR Rewind: Looking back at week four of the 2013 season

During this off-season, we are taking a trip down memory lane by reliving the high points (and low points for some teams) of the 2013 college football season. So far we’ve covered weeks one, two and three. Now it’s time to take a look back at week four…

Fresno State 41 Boise State 40

This might be looked back at as a changing of the guard in the Mountain West Conference. For the first time since 2005, the Bulldogs toppled the mighty Broncos.

Notre Dame 17 Michigan State 13

In a must win game for the Irish (coming in at 2-1), they found a way. If you like offense, I wouldn’t recommend watching this one again as these teams combined for 474 yards of Total Offense. Highlights of this game were hard to come by, so enjoy this music video someone spent their time making…

LSU 35 Auburn 21

Despite losing, this was the game that made me start to think that this Auburn team might be a different squad than the last two years. I still had no idea they would go on to win the SEC and play for the National Championship but at the end of this game they showed fight and didn’t give up. LSU, on the other hand, was just too much as Jeremy Hill played the roll of a battering ram.

Michigan 24 UConn 21

The Wolverines came into this game at #15 and UConn came in without a win. The Huskies led 21-7 late after a 34 yard fumble return for a TD but they just could not hold on and the Wolverines started their season a perfect 4-0 despite showing some early warts.

Stanford 42 Arizona State 28

This was the only game between ranked teams this week. The Cardinal throttled the Sun Devils in the first half taking a 29-0 lead into the locker room. Arizona State came roaring back but it was too little, too late.
