During this off-season, we are taking a trip down memory lane by reliving the high points (and low points for some teams) of the 2013 college football season. So far we’ve covered weeks one, two, three, four, five, six and seven. Now it’s time to take a look back at week eight….

here were the biggest games of the week….
UCF 38 Louisville 35
Louisville was undefeated, ranked 8th and poised to make a run at the National Title. Not so fast my friend….Trailing by 21 points in the third quarter, Blake Bortles led the Knights to four straight scores to put UCF in the lead. Louisville answered the call and took a four point lead with three minutes left. Bortles took the Knights on an 11 play, 75 yard drive and that was the end of Teddy Bridgewater’s championship dreams.
Vanderbilt 31 Georgia 27
Everything went wrong for Georgia in the second half of this game and Vandy capitalized for their first signature win under James Franklin against a Top 25 team.
Tennessee 23 South Carolina 21
The Vols added insult to injury in this game by knocking out Connor Shaw for the game and then upsetting the Gamecocks with a Michael Palardy buzzer beater.
Stanford 24 UCLA 10
After taking a 3-0 lead to the locker room, the Cardinal “exploded” with 14 third quarter points to pull away from Jim Mora’s Bruins. UCLA was held to just 266 total yards.
Ole Miss 27 LSU 24
Ole Miss was seemingly fading at this point of the season. They had dropped three straight games to Bama, Auburn and A&M and for the next game in their murderer’s row they got #6 LSU. The Rebels ran up 545 yards of total offense on LSU and despite a late LSU comeback, held on to win after Andrew Ritter booted a 41 yard FG through the uprights to win the game.
Auburn 45 Texas A&M 41
Both teams came into this game at 5-1 but A&M was ranked #7 and Auburn was just 24th. This was the game that put the 2013 Auburn Tigers on the map. An earlier win over Ole Miss made people take note, but this one put them on the map.
FSU 51 Clemson 14
This battle of undefeated ACC teams was supposed to be an epic showdown. But, FSU took it to Clemson in their own building and made it known that they had a legitimate claim as the best team in the country. Jameis Winston led a quick strike offense and threw for 444 yards and 3 TDs and ran for another score.
