A little snow isn’t going to stop South Carolina’s Dylan Thompson

The South Carolina Gamecocks had a great 2013 season, finishing 11-2 including wins over five top 25 opponents. For QB Dylan Thompson though, it wasn't a great season.

In 2012, Thompson had 10 TD versus 2 INT and had his best two games at the end of the season against rival Clemson and against Michigan in the Outback bowl.

In 2013, playing behind Connor Shaw, Thompson had 4 TDs versus 3 INT in 8 games. Now that Connor Shaw is moving on to the next stage of his career, Thompson is the heir apparent to the QB position for the Gamecocks.

With a big winter storm coming in yesterday, you might think most college students would be huddled up in their dorm or apartment and waiting out the storm. Not Thompson. According to his tweet, he was out in snowy Williams-Brice Stadium practicing.

You have to appreciate the effort and I'm sure the Ol' Ball coach is watching. The Gamecocks will have to rebound from the loss of Connor Shaw and Jadeveon Clowney next season and Thompson will be a big reason if they are to meet expectations or not.
