The Summer of Bro: Johnny Manziel and AJ McCarron hitting the beach this summer

Get ready for the Summer of Bros. Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron and Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel are planning on hanging out this summer, according to a recent conversation on Twitter.

That's right, bro. Two of the SEC's top quarterbacks, one a two-time BCS champion and the other last season's Heisman Trophy winner, will be hanging out at the beach this summer. It will surely lead to some epic Instagram memories.

What they will be doing remains to be seen, but they certainly won't be working at a beach club hoping for tips. That would be against NCAA rules of course.

But the Twitterspehere surely awaits a glimpse of the fun these two will have. While we can have fun getting a peak behind the lives away form the football field for thee two, it is kind of fascinating to see the relationship and companionship these two big name players from new rival SEC programs has developed. It sort of goes to show you how far collegiate athletics has come, with the help of social networking perhaps.

“We’re either going to Key West or Cancun and will hang out with our other friends,” McCarron told USA TODAY Sports. “Me and him, we don’t ever let that (football talk) bother us. He’s a good friend of mine, and he’s a funny dude.”

Texas A&M and Alabama will square off in one of college football's biggest games of the season in September, but that will not be on the minds of these two when they are soaking in the sun this summer. McCarron, despite having led the Crimson Tide to the past two BCS championship, even thinks that Manziel has the upper hand on him right now, based on the result of last season's regular season match-up.

“Football is our life, so when we get away, we try to get away and not really bring that in. He’s got all the trash talk on me because he won, so there ain’t much I can talk about.”

As far as we are concerned, both seem to be winners in our books.
