Ricky Williams doesn’t have Johnny Manziel’s back

As a Heisman Trophy winner who's not exactly a stranger to controversy, it would make sense that Texas Longhorns legend Ricky Williams would defend Johnny Manziel in the Texas A&M superstar's time of crisis.

Except, when asked about Johnny Football's situation on Thursday at a press conference announcing Williams being hired as the running backs coach at the University of the Incarnate Word, Williams didn't do the expected. (Does he ever?)

"You know once you win the Heisman trophy, there's going to be more attention on you," said Williams. "You are probably not going to be able to get away with all the stuff you got away with before."

The former Longhorn didn't stop there. He took another jab at the 2012 Heisman winner and his background.

"To the media I would say, if the media did their research on who this kid was, nobody would be surprised."

Not exactly the clubbiest fraternity you've got there, Heisman Trust.
