Any Big Games?

No. 9 Georgia (2-1, 1-0 SEC) vs. No. 6 LSU (4-0, 1-0 SEC), 3:30 p.m. CBS (Early Analysis)

Staff Pick: LSU, 6-3 (More)

This is the game of the week, as we noted in Thursday's newsletter (are you subscribed?) and it could even be a preview of the SEC Championship Game. Hey, who knows? Georgia has responded well after losing the season opener while LSU has been playing like the best all-around team in the SEC in September. If the Tigers can leave Georgia with a win, all eyes will likely look ahead to November's game against Alabama, but don't count out Georgia in this one at home.

No. 22 Notre Dame (3-1) vs. No. 14 Oklahoma (3-0), 3:30 p.m. NBC (Early Analysis)

Staff Pick: Oklahoma 6-3 (More)

Notre Dame has historically dominated Oklahoma, but will this year lead to a different result for the Sooners? With Blake Bell taking over at quarterback Oklahoma feels comfortable with their offense. Winning in South Bend is never easy, but the Irish continue to struggle to score so how many points will Oklahoma need?

Other Ranked Teams in Action

Boston College (2-1, 1-0 ACC) vs. No. 8 Florida State (3-0, 1-0 ACC)
Unanimous Staff Pick: Florida State (More)

No. 3 Clemson (3-0, 1-0 ACC) vs. Wake Forest (2-2, 0-1 ACC)

More midday ACC action as the favorites in the conference take on some big underdogs. The Seminoles are up in Boston looking to see another good outing out of Jameis Winston. Steve Addazio has Boston College breathing some new life but still should have trouble against Florida State. Meanwhile, Clemson should have a fairly easy day against Wake Forest. Or will we need to throw out the Clemsoning Alert Level bar again?

Surprisingly Important Big Ten Match-Up

Minnesota is 4-0. Iowa is 3-1, with the lone loss coming against Northern Illinois. The two face each other this afternoon in what all of a sudden looks like a decent Big Ten game. The winner gets a jump in Big Ten standings in the Big Ten opener for each.

Pillow Fight of the Day

Only the most hardcore of college football fans will be looking for a way to check out the game taking place inside the Kibbie Dome. Idaho (0-4) hosts Temple (0-3).
