After two years of an ongoing investigation full of drama, bitterness and incompetency, it appears as though the NCAA is about to bring a close to their investigation in to the University of Miami. According to Miami Herald, via Twitter, the decision on Miami's future is expected to be revealed Tuesday.
The NCAA is expected to announce a decision Tuesday in its investigation of the UM athletic program, according to a source.

I have always been in favor of a time-served penalty when it comes to postseason eligibility, perhaps with a side of scholarship reductions if needed. Maybe you have a different view on this but I suggest this because Miami has voluntarily stayed out of the postseason each of the past two seasons, missing out on three games between two potential bowl trips and an ACC Championship Game in 2012. It would appear Al Golden has been trying to run a clean program since arriving from Temple just as the water was about to boil, and unless there is much more involved with this ongoing saga than we already know, and given the NCAA's mea culpa in the process, I think that would be a fair result.
But when it comes to the NCAA, just throw a dart at the wall with a blindfold on and you will have as much of a chance of hitting the result as any.
Miami is currently ranked seventh in the BCS standings, which were released last night. The undefeated Hurricanes escaped Chapel Hill with a win over North Carolina on Thursday night and still has games against Florida State and Virginia Tech. Will Miami be eligible for the postseason this year?
We may find out tomorrow.
