Auburn’s Chris Davis drops punt, returns it for a TD

Auburn is getting all it can handle from the Tennessee Volunteers today in Neyland Stadium. With the game tied at 13-13 in the second quarter, the Auburn defense forced the Volunteers to punt. Michael Palardy booted one for 54 yards but he may have outkicked his coverage.

Auburn's Chris Davis initially dropped the punt but he had enough time to recover and then he shot up the middle and headed over to the sideline. When Davis hit the sidelines he had a host of blockers and they moved as a convoy down the field and into the end zone.

In a road game against a team that performs a lot better in their home stadium, this could turn out to be the play of the game for the Auburn Tigers as it put them up 20-13 in the second quarter.

Coming into this game Chris Davis was averaging an impressive 14.25 yards per return. Looks like that just improved.
