Entering Saturday it was hard to argue that any team needed a win as badly as the Auburn Tigers. At 0-2, and with SEC play starting up next week against LSU, there was margin for error on Saturday against those pesky Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks.
Yup, that Louisiana-Monroe team, the same one that beat Arkansas last Saturday.
The mere thought of a loss was enough to give Brian Van Gorder’s mustache grey hairs.
Thankfully the Tigers appear like they’ll hold on, in large part because of a beautiful Kiehl Frazier hail mary right before the half.
Frazier hasn’t done much this year, but this toss gave Auburn a 21-14 lead, and now leading 28-14 early in the fourth, and the Tigers should be able to hold on for their first win of the season.
