For Entertainment Purposes Only: Week 6

Going to make these quick this week.

Northwestern at Penn State (-2.5)

Northwestern is a nice story and all, but we've reached the point where the Wildcats are getting a little too much respect for whipping a whole mess of bad teams.

Pick: Nittany Lions by a field goal.

Kansas at Kansas State (-24)

K-State is coming off a bye. Bill Snyder puts a huge emphasis on this intrastate battle every year. Easy call.

Pick: KSU rolls.

Miami (+13) vs. Notre Dame

The Fighting Irish are going to win this game, but Miami should pose the stiffest test yet for their secondary. The 'Canes could give ND serious trouble.

Pick: Domers by not enough.

Connecticut (+9.5) at Rutgers

UConn has an underrated D. The Huskies' style of play doesn't lend itself to big losses (or wins).

Pick: Lance Ito on a last-second field goal for a Rutgers win.

Arkansas (+10) at Auburn

Call this one a hunch. The Razorbacks still have a ton of talent on the offensive side of the ball. The Tigers, meanwhile, don't have the firepower to exploit a weak Arkansas D.

Pick: SMILE, Hog fans. You're getting a win this week.

(Last Week: 1-4; Overall: 12-13)
