Florida St. has officially dismissed senior cornerback and special teams ace Greg Reid from the program, head coach Jimbo Fisher announced this morning.
A statement from FSU said Reid got dinged for the always nebulous "violation of team rules." Bud Elliott at Tomahawk Nation notes that Reid has been a frequent guest in the Seminoles' doghouse during his time in Tallahassee.
Frankly, the loss of Reid shouldn't hurt the 'Noles that much on the defensive side of the ball, where FSU is almost oozing talent. However, Reid's dismissal removes a huge threat in FSU's return game. The preaseason All-ACC selection is arguably the top return man in the country this season.
