Auburn at No. 2 Alabama

We are probably watching the final game for Gene Chizik at Auburn, which would have seemed pretty far-fetched just two seasons ago when the Tigers won the BCS Championship.
The Iron Bowl has national title implications again, but only for Alabama … who just one week ago was on the outside looking in. So there’s no chance the Tide will overlook the reeling Tigers at such a big moment.
You always hear how you can “throw out the records” in a rivalry. But does anyone really believe Auburn can pull off this upset? I’m not even sure Chizik thinks his team has a chance.
For Auburn to Win: Um, well, um … Can Cam Newton come back and play for one game? Seriously, I’m not sure there is any other way.
For Alabama to Win: Simply show up on Saturday. Alabama is more talented, is better coached and has more to play for. It doesn't hurt that the game is in Tuscaloosa either.
Key Player (Auburn): Jonathan Wallace, QB. Wallace has started three games as a freshmen, but this will be his first on the road and what a great place to get that first road start … in front of 102,000 at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Wallace has yet to throw for 200 yards in a game, but he has also protected the ball well.
Key Player (Alabama): T.J. Yeldon, RB. The freshman has been a bit turnover prone lately, so Alabama needs him to hold onto the football and use his speed and elusiveness to carve up the Auburn defense.
Key Stat: 7-0. That’s Alabama’s record when a Democrat wins the White House. Odds of reaching 8-0 look secure.
