College football win totals released in Vegas

Vegas has spoken.

Cantor Gaming became the first Nevada sportsbook to post college football season win totals Friday.

  • Five teams are set at 10.5: LSU, Alabama, Southern Cal, Oregon and Florida State.
  • UNLV had the lowest, with the Rebels projected with just 2.5 wins. Duke and Ole Miss were set at 3.5, and Kentucky at 4.5.
  • There doesn’t appear to be an overwhelming favorite in the Big Ten with Urban Meyer’s Buckeyes, Nebraska, Michigan State, Michigan and Wisconsin all set at 8.5.
  • SEC newcomers Texas A&M and Missouri were set at 7.5, the same as Florida, Mississippi State and Auburn.
  • Big 12 newcombers West Virginia and TCU are both set at 8.5, the same at Texas and Oklahoma State.
  • Georgia was a notable omission, as oddsmakers struggle to gauge the impact of the Bulldogs’ off-the-field issues.
  • Embattled Penn State was set at 6.5 under first-year coach Bill O’Brien. The Nittany Lions have not won fewer than seven games since 2004.
  • Mike Leach’s first Washington State team is projected at 5.5 wins.

Cantor operates multiple Las Vegas sportsbooks, including at the Venetian, M Resort, Tropicana, Hard Rock and more.
