Arkansas has some pretty big games on their schedule this season, including Alabama and LSU at home. With such high profile games will come plenty of media attention, so you can imagine why Athletics Director Jeff Long wants to make sure he does whatever it takes to ensure the Arkansas community is portrayed in a positive light.
That is why Long is saying that any fan who wants to bring a sign to a game this season must be sure to arrange and have their sign approved by the school ahead of time. That's right Razorback fan, when you come up with a witty and comical phrase to paint on your piece of poster board, you must be sure to get approval before bringing in to the stadium on game day.
I commend Long for wanting the Arkansas fans to be shown in a way that best represents the Arkansas community, especially when rivals Alabama and LSU are coming to town this fall. But just how successful is this going to be? And what kind of signs will be approved?
We have to imagine these sort of signs will be approved…
Even the simple and innocent shout out to ESPN or CBS will figure to be welcomed. After all, how harmless could they be?
This is just a guess, but this sign might not get the Razorback Seal of Approval…
