Week eleven of the college football season saw Heisman front runner Collin Klein notch another win on the Kansas State belt loop, Manti T'eo and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame stay undefeated and a young up and comer by the nickname of Johnny Football pull off an upset of the #1 team in America. Can Texas A&M freshman Johnny Manziel make a splash in the Heisman voting this year?

Season: 145/208 for 2025 yds passing, 12 passing TD, 3 INT, 69.7% completions, 753 yds rushing, 19 rushing TD
This Week: at Baylor (4-5)
*Klein had his worst game of the season in a tricky spot versus TCU. It made no difference, as the Wildcats won comfortably. He has piloted Purple Kansas to No. 1 in the BCS standings and may help get legendary coach Bill Snyder his first national title. That's Heisman-worthy material.

*With all due respect to Johnny 'Freakin Football, Klein is still just as important- if not more- to his team than Manziel is. With him, the Wildcats are poised to play for a BCS title. It's hard to imagine where they might be without him.

*No player affects the outcomes of games more so for his team than Te'o and yes I'm including Collin Klein in that statement. Take him off of this defense and it's very doubtful they are as good as they actually are.

*Leading the Aggies to a huge upset at Alabama was just the lift he needed to become a serious contender. If A&M wins out and he keeps performing at this level, Manziel may just creep up and steal the Heisman from Klein.

This Week: vs Stanford (8-2)
*Only 100 total yards of offense against Cal, but he was battling through an injury most of the 1st half. He is still the best back I've seen this season, but his overall impression might have taken a little ding this week as the Ducks showed that even with him not in the game much, the offense can impose their will on just about anyone (59 points, 575 yards).

Poll Notes
– Collin Klein keeps on rolling as he increased his lead as he gained 2.03% on his nearest competitor (Manti Te'o) and now holds a 31.66% lead over the Notre Dame defender.
– The pack behind Klein is still tight and only 1.85% of the vote separates T'eo from Kenjon Barner and Johnny Manziel.
– To be the man you have to beat the man. That's just what Johnny Football did last Saturday and after beating AJ McCarron and the Crimson Tide, Manziel promptly took McCarron's spot in our Heisman poll.
– Last week Collin Klein and Kansas State took on the top rushing defense in the Big 12. This week they take on the second worst (you wouldn't believe me if I told you Texas was the worst, would you?). Did I mention that Baylor has given up the most rushing TDs in the Big 12 so far this season?
– Manti T'eo and the Notre Dame defense face an offense this week that is actually worse than the Boston College offense they faced last week. Wake Forest is averaging 20.1 points per game but is dead last in conference games scoring just 16.5 per game. The Demon Deacons have been shut out once this season and have been held to single digits twice.
– Johnny Manziel and the Aggies try to come off the high of last week as they will face the runners-up to the FCS Championship from 2011, the Sam Houston Bearkats.
– Kenjon Barner has the best chance to make an impression this week because his team plays they toughest game of all the Heisman candidates as the Ducks host the Stanford Cardinal. The Cardinal are 1st in the Pac-12 in rushing defense giving up only 58.6 yards per game. Sounds good, doesn't it? Just remember that Stanford also led the Pac-12 in rushing defense last season but gave up 232 yards on the ground against Oregon.
