What we learned:
Temple is a cover machine.
Never thought I would write that sentence in my lifetime. This season the Owls are 3-0 against the spread. (In their first game of the season, they played Villanova and it wasn’t on the board. They did win 42-7.)
Last week, Temple had its “hey, look at us” game, destroying Maryland in College Park, 38-7.
Here is the company Temple has in the category of “Undefeated Against the Spread:”

Navy 3-0
Stanford 3-0
Flordia 3-0-1
Tennesse 2-0-1
Arkansas State 4-0
Might just take Arkanas St this week for shits and giggles. And since I was already there, here are the worst teams against the spread:
North Carolina St. 0-4
Penn St. 0-4
Central Michigan 0-4
Kent St. 0-4
Air Force 0-3
Oregon St. 0-3
So if you see any games that those teams are in and you get a feeling. Stab yourself.
RULES:
No real good rules to think about. Although a potentional “don’t bet against LSU as long as Tyrann Mathieu still goes there” is pending review.
On to the picks:
Virgina Tech (-6) vs. Clemson
I’ve been waiting for this game. Let’s recap Clemson’s season:
Play two cupcakes at home, beat up on a tired Auburn team and sneak past FSU because its QB is hurt.
Now the Tigers have a trip to Blacksburg? BeamerBall city on this one. If Clemson is for real, the Tigers will show up and win. I am not sold. VT’s Defense won’t give up the big plays that Clemson needs. VT wins 35-21.
Nebraska +9 vs. Wisconsin
How fun is this game going to be? Wisconsin has been way better than I expected, but this is going to be a tough one. Wisconsin’s defense hasn’t seen an offense like Nebraska’s yet.
This is a field goal game. Have to take the points.
Air Force vs. Navy – Under 54
The previous six of seven games between these two rivals have gone under. Both teams run the ball. They run the ball so much it seems they are allergic to completing passes. Not even sure if they practice passing.

Temple -8
No real reason, either. I just want to be able to say I did it.
