TCU Tickets Most Expensive This Weekend Out Of Top 4 Teams In AP Poll

After this past weekend, the top three spots in the AP poll for college football are occupied by the Ohio State Buckeyes, Michigan State Spartans and there’s a tie for the No. 3 slot between the TCU Horned Frogs and Mississippi Rebels.

Of the top four teams, the Buckeyes had the biggest scare after winning by just seven points at home over the Northern Illinois Huskies. Starting quarterback Cardale Jones was benched after two interceptions in favor of J.T. Barrett, but the Buckeyes defense stepped up in a big way adding an interception returned for a touchdown near the end of the third quarter to give Ohio State some breathing room.

Meanwhile, Sparty and TCU had convincing wins over the Air Force Falcons and SMU Mustangs, respectively. TCU put up a 56-spot against SMU, while Michigan State cruised to a 35-21 victory that was never really in doubt.

Joining the upper ranks of the AP poll is Ole Miss, who registered as the biggest winners of the college football weekend. The Rebels went into Bryant-Denny Stadium and defeated the then-No. 2-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa. The Rebels offense has proven to be a machine thus far, scoring 76, 73 and 43 in their three games played this season.

Of the four teams in the top three, TCU has the toughest test this weekend. Below, with information about college football tickets from TiqIQ.com, are the secondary market prices for the top four teams this weekend.

TCU has the most expensive game between the teams with an average ticket price of $128.98 and a get-in price of $71 for their road date at Texas Tech. The Red Raiders are a perfect 3-0 and are coming off a road win against Arkansas from the SEC.

Up next is the Buckeyes, with the nation keeping a close eye on their game against Western Michigan to see how they respond from last week’s poor performance. The quarterback play will be the largest story going into the game, as head coach Urban Meyer has hinted that he may have to stay with one guy. Who that one guy will be, is still up for debate. Flights to Columbus can be reserved on Hipmunk.com to see one of the most affordable Ohio State games of the season, to potentially pair with a Columbus hotel to create a weekend getaway back to campus.

Ole Miss tries to follow up their season-shifting win against Alabama with one of the weaker teams in the SEC conference, Vanderbilt. No one expects Mississippi to be tripped up by the Commodores, but weirder things have happened in the world of college football.

The cheapest game of the four teams is Michigan State’s contest against the Chippewas. The average ticket price for entrance into Spartan Stadium is $86.48 with a get-in price of $46, as the Spartans have a very winnable matchup opposite Central Michigan.
