BYU 37 Boise State 20
Boise State was without QB Joe Southwick in this game but the way Taysom Hill played, it probably didn’t matter. Was this the game that made Chris Petersen decide it was finally time to move on?
Florida State 49 North Carolina State 17
In 2012, an undefeated FSU team slipped up in Raleigh. That would not be the case today as Jameis Winston and the Seminoles rolled over the Wolfpack.
Duke 13 Virginia Tech 10
The Hokies came into this game at 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the ACC. The Blue Devils were 5-2 but just 1-2 in the ACC. Logan Thomas threw four interceptions and this was the game that flipped the destiny of the ACC Coastal as the Blue Devils would go on to win the rest of their regular season ACC games.
Oklahoma 38 Texas Tech 30
This was a big-time Big 12 showdown featuring the undefeated and #10 ranked Red Raiders and the #15 one-loss Sooners. This was the turning point of the season for Texas Tech as they wouldn’t win another game until bowl season
Oregon 42 UCLA 14
This battle between #3 and #12 was close until the final stanza when Oregon proved to have too much for the Bruins.
South Carolina 27 Missouri 24
Missouri led 17-0 at the end of the third quarter. Enter Connor Shaw. Despite an injury, he came off the bench and rallied the Gamecocks to 17 fourth quarter points including a TD pass with under a minute left in the game. The Gamecocks won in double OT in one of the guttiest individual performances of the year.
