One of the most iconic finishes in the history of college football happened 30 years ago. With his team trailing and time running out, Doug Flutie had one last chance. With six seconds left, Flutie dropped back near midfield where he was flushed out of the pocket and let it rip down the field. Boston College receiver Gerald Phelan got behind the Miami Hurricanes defense and somehow the ball found its way into Phelan’s hands to complete one of the greatest plays of all time.
