Building a Program: Kennesaw State holds tryouts

As the 2014 off-season and season unfolds, the Kennesaw State Owls will be prepping for their first year of college football that will take place in 2015. Earlier this year, we took a look at the first recruiting class for head coach Brian Bohannon and the KSU Owls. The next step of the process for Bohannon is to look for some bodies, and maybe even some hidden gems, to fill out his roster.

This past Saturday, the Owls hosted 85 KSU students who hope to become members of this inaugural roster. The Owls put them through two-hours of position specific drills, agility testing and, of course, the ever so popular 40-yard dash.

Today, Bohannon will be contacting these students to let them know the next step in the process and the possibility of them joining the Owls for practice starting in August.

Score Atlanta’s Brian Jones highlighted Ryan Godhigh, his brother Robert plays for Georgia Tech, and Zachary Ridlehuber as standouts from the tryout.

The Owls will debut on September 3rd of 2015 as they travel to play East Tennessee State but stay tuned to Crystal Ball Run as we will follow this program and their journey of becoming a college football team.
