National Signing Day: Cam Cameron successfully woo’s Malachi Dupre to LSU

One of the most interesting stories during this recruiting year was Cam Cameron and his borderline "stalking" of recruit Malachi Dupre. When Dupre went to take his official visit to UCLA, Cameron sat next to Dupre on his flight out as Cameron was visiting another top recruit (Adoree Jackson). He also stayed at the same hotel that Dupre did during the visit.

Cameron's aggressive, to put it mildly, recruiting has paid off for the Tigers as our #4 uncommitted recruit, Dupre, committed to LSU today on ESPNU. Dupre was #17 overall on 247 Sports composite ranking which gives the Tigers two of the top 20. He was also listed as the #2 WR on the composite ranking and could see early playing time with the departure of Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr.

On ESPNU, Dupre said "felt it was right to stay home and play football for the state of Louisiana and try to bring a National Championship back to the state." Dupre choose LSU over FSU and UCLA.
