Six finalists for the 2013 Heisman Trophy were announced Monday evening. Crystal Ball Run will be taking a look at each finalist.

Heisman moment: Rushed for 420 yards on 53 carries, including four touchdowns in a 38-21 win over North Carolina State.
Andre Williams started the season as an unknown to most of the college football world, and really until some of the top Heisman candidates starting falling off the radar his name still wasn’t tossed around too much for awards.
However, when a running back eclipses 2,000 yards on the ground then it is time to take notice. So that’s why Williams is one of six finalists — which probably shows us how close the voting is after the top spot. FSU’s Jameis Winston will likely leave New York with the trophy, but don’t overlook Williams’ huge 2013.
He eclipsed 100 yards rushing in every game but one — 94 in a 24-14 loss to Clemson. He rushed for 320 yards twice — 48-27 win over Army and 48-34 win over New Mexico State.
He also scored a touchdown in every game but one — a 48-34 loss to Florida State. His best output was five against Army.
What probably hurts his candidacy the most is Boston College’s 7-5 record and season-ending 34-31 loss to a lackluster Syracuse program.
He’s very unlikely to win the Heisman, but it would be interesting to see if Williams would follow through on his promise to cut the award into pieces and share it with his teammates.
College football fans who haven’t seen Williams play this season should check him out when the Eagles take on Arizona in the AdvoCare V100 Bowl at 12:30 p.m., Dec. 31.
