Stanford tends to do things with a bit of class, I suppose. The program is built on high academic standards and they do things a little bit differently than others. So it should come as little surprise that Stanford's Rose Bowl rings may not have all the shine and luster that their Pac 12 North rivals from Oregon received last season.
A photo of Stanford's 2013 Rose Bowl championship rings has surfaced through the Internet and shows a very classic, perhaps simple design reminiscent of a high school or college class ring. Nothing too big or shiny here, although these rings are not exactly on the cheap we would guess.

You will see on one side the record of 12-2, which Stanford accumulated and padded with a Pac 12 Championship Game and Rose Bowl victory. On the other side we see the Rose Bowl logo and the name of Sanford, for quarterbacks and receivers coach Mike Sanford (it's not a typo, as a quick glance might lead the eye to believe). Of course, on the top of the ring is the jewel filled Stanford "S" on a cardinal red base.
Simple, elegant and still packs a nice punch. Nothing at all like the rings Oregon took home last year…
