The latest atrocity committed against Notre Dame’s fight song

Somewhere in a morass of cubicles at adidas headquarters sit a group of employees charged with making Notre Dame "cooler." Collaborating with with DJ Mick Boogie to remix the Fighting Irish anthem is their latest contribution, if you can call it that.

Look, I'm far from some crotchety old fart who clings to traditions like fight songs and uniforms the way ND students treasure their virginity. But the song thing has been played out since "We Are Family." Remixing a fight song? That's like the lame cousin of co-opting "Don't Stop Believin'."

I guess it beats Freekbass. Wake up the echoes.
