But wait, there’s more! Rutgers to announce move to Big Ten

On the heels of Maryland voting to accept a spot in the Big Ten, Rutgers will announce their move from the Big East to the Big Ten on Tuesday, according to ESPN.com's Brett McMurphy…

Since the news about Maryland first broke this morning, we have learned the Terps will move out of the ACC and join the Big Ten starting in the 2014-15 academic year, which means one more year in the ACC for the Terps. We can only imagine Rutgers will follow a similar timeline despite the Big East having a 27-month waiting period before exiting the conference. The Big East has already let West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Syracuse all get out before that timeline expired, so it is reasonable to think Rutgers may be able to exit earlier than allowed as well.

There will be plenty to breakdown with this latest round of realignment and the impact it has on the Big Ten, ACC and Big East as well as others around the country. We'll try to stay on top of it for you right here.
