Week ten of the college football season saw some of the top teams in the country almost lose as Alabama and Notre Dame has close calls. Would that help AJ McCarron and Manti Te'o because they had to persevere to win or would it hurt? Kansas State's Collin Klein got knocked out of his teams win over Oklahoma State and Kenyon Barner made a statement against Monte Kiffin's Trojan defense. Will we see a shake up in the poll this week?

*Optimus Klein and the Wildcats just keep on pounding opponents, Oklahoma State being the latest to fall victim. The KSU QB got dinged up just before a tricky trip to TCU, though. Let's see how the Wildcats react if he can't go.

*Klein helped lead K-State to another big win. Even though he got banged up, he still completed 16-of-22 passes for 244 yards and ran for a touchdown. He has 12 touchdown passes and only two interceptions on the season and he has rushed for 698 yards and 17 touchdowns.

*Talk about going into the lion's den and coming out with a W. You knew it was going to be a defensive battle, so the stats weren't at a premium, but one touchdown rushing and one touchdown passing (which ended up be on the GW drive 72 yards in 0:43 with only 1:34 left) was plenty to keep him on the list. If they can get past TAMU this weekend, it should be smooth sailing into the SEC championship vs. Georgia.

*His 321-yard, 5-touchdown performance against USC was for the ages — the kind of performance a Heisman candidate really needs to have to cement himself in the top three. For the season, 1,295 yards and 19 touchdowns is a solid year, but he isn't nearly done yet and with the way Oregon puts up points and yards, his numbers could be astronomical by the end of the season. What impresses me most? This is a kid who played 8-man football for two years in high school. Does that have anything to do with this vote? No, but it means he still is learning 11-man football to an extent and the sky is the limit.

– Collin Klein increased his Heisman lead this week as he gained 4.44% and his nearest competitior, Manti T'eo, dropped by over 10%.
– Only 1.85% separates Collin Klein's top three contenders as his competition seems to be gaining in numbers as the season progresses.
– This week, Collin Klein and Kansas State take on the top rushing defense in the Big 12 as they face TCU (allowing 96.56 rushing yards per game).
– Manti T'eo and the Notre Dame defense face a Boston College team that is scoring just 22.1 points per game (20.6 vs BCS opponents) which puts them 98th in the Nation.
– AJ McCarron will have his hands full with a Texas A&M defense that is tied for second in the SEC with 27 sacks (17 of those coming in conference play).
– Kenjon Barner and Oregon play a Cal team that is giving up 4.19 yards per carry and 165 yards rushing per game. Cal has given up more than 200 yards rushing three times this year with their worst game coming against USC (USC rushed for 296 yards on 40 carries).
