Morning Playbook – Oregon, Arizona State ready for Pac-12 battle in the desert

Oregon looks to be nearly unstoppable in the Pac 12 this season, but watch out for Arizona State. The Sun Devils host the Ducks tonight in Tempe, hoping to reverse the trend in this Pac 12 series and make a statement to the rest of the conference. Oregon has won 11 of 14 meetings dating back to 1998 and is riding a seven-game winning streak heading in to the Thursday night battle in the dessert.

Arizona State fans are being asked to dress in black for the game, which means the Sun Devils will be likely to take the field wearing their all-black alternate uniforms. The school is billing tonight's game as the first Arizona State sellout since 2007. Yeah, this game is a big deal.

Could it be a Pac-12 Championship Game preview? Both schools head in to the game leading their respective divisions and have a combined record of 11-1.
