Upset Alert, Week 3 – Are Crimson Tide too much of a favorite?

We have a light offering for this week's Upset Alert feature, with just three games to watch closely this weekend. We had some good calls last week, correctly calling for three upset bids, although we totally overlooked the possibility that Arkansas would lose at home to Louisiana Monroe. But can Arkansas rebound in a big way this week, at home against the top-ranked team in the nation?

Hmmmmmm..

Here is this week's Crystal Ball Run Upset Alert…

New Upset Alert videos will be posted every Thursday throughout the college football season, but you can get an exclusive sneak peek by liking us on Facebook. A short teaser will be shared on Facebook every Wednesday or early Thursday morning.

How did we do last week?

Upset Alert Week 2 picks and results (teams on upset alert in bold)

We Told You So

Oregon State 10, Wisconsin 7 – Suggested Wisconsin might struggle out west. Didn't quite have this in mind though.

UCLA 36, Nebraska 30 – Game lived up to the hype, but Huskers couldn not stop Bruins offense. Rex Burkhead's absence may not have mattered because of it.

Arizona 59, Oklahoma State 38 – How about that for a wakeup call? Sure, the Cowboys still had some offense but the questions about the defense just got a whole lot louder after that one.

We Weren't That Crazy

Michigan 31, Air Force 25 – The Wolverines did indeed bounce back despite giving up some yards on the ground.

Florida 20, Texas A&M 17 – Florida escapes upset bids two weeks in a row, so we figured they deserved to be left off of this week's upset alert against Tennessee. So watch the Vols come up big this week, right?

We Underestimated You

Georgia 41, Missouri 20 – It was close for a while but in the end it ws old man football that had the last laugh in pulling away with a 21-point victory.
