Former Georgia running back Isaiah Crowell has successfully landed at FCS Alabama State. There he will be eligible to play immediately this season, and our pal Matthew Elder from Buffalo Bills Draft suggests that is a great landing spot for him. We will get a chance to see what Crowell is up to three times on national television this season. Alabama State’s season opener against Bethune-Cookman will be shown on ESPN on September 2 from the Citrus Bowl, and the Hornets will be on ESPNU at least twice this season. While Crowell will now be set to play football in 2012, another former SEC running back will have to sit out until the 2013 season.
Former Auburn running back Michael Dyer transferred to Arkansas State to reunite with new head coach Gus Malzahn, but the NCAA has turned down a request to be eligible for the 2012 season. Dyer will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Let’s get back to some quick transfer news. Hawaii has welcomed the transfer of offensive lineman Kapua Sai (Utah) and quarterback Sean Schroeder (Duke). Both have graduated already and are eligible to play immediately in 2012.
