As you might expect, it was a relatively quiet day as far as college football news was concerned, but we managed to fill up this morning’s round-up with a few nuggets worth your time.
Perhaps the most notable story to pop up on our nation’s birthday was the unfortunate news that John L. Smith, the interim head coach for the Arkansas Razorbacks this year, is facing bankruptcy following a series of poor land investments. According to reports, Smith was honest about his financial strains during the hiring process with Arkansas, and surely a one-year pay raise from his last job should help his own cause.

By now you have surely seen the Texas A&M video saying hello to their new SEC rivals. It was as bad as advertised, so it should come as no surprise that there is already a Texas A&M – SEC parody video already making the rounds.
