For The Price Of $350 You Can Get LaMichael James’ Autograph… On A County Jail Document

The great thing about covering the sport of college football is that there is a literal never-ending stream of news. Even on the busiest day of the year (the morning of the BCS title game), goofy stuff comes across the ticker that really does need to be seen to be believed.

Today’s hot news item?

How about this: For $350, a Craigslist seller in Oregon is offering your chance to get some autographed LaMichael James paraphernalia. Of course if it were just another signed jersey or helmet, Crystal Ball Run wouldn’t be writing about it.

Instead, the seller is offering up signing paperwork from James’ stay in a Lane County Jail in February 2010. The stay was because of a domestic violence, which James eventually pled down to a misdemeanor, and received 10 days in jail for. To be fair, James has had no run in’s with the law since.

And while it goes without saying that the crime James confessed to is no laughing matter, the idea that someone is trying to make a buck off it is.

Below are the pictures from Craigslist.

Whether they’re legit or not is not up to us to figure out. However, please feel free to call the seller at 541-221-6886 for more information.
