Oregon Reveals The Latest (But Probably Not Greatest) Uniforms They’ll Wear In The Rose Bowl

In all of college football, and all of sports really, there might not be a single event with the history and pageantry of the Rose Bowl. It’s about the Rose Bowl Parade, and being the self-titled “Granddaddy Of Them All.” It’s about the champions of the Big Ten and Pac-12 playing for pride in the foothills of Pasadena. In a lot of ways, it’s about everything but football, with pride and tradition, mixing with gridiron glory.

At least until this year.

That’s because the Oregon Ducks see your pageantry and history, and want you to stick it where the sun don’t shine.

Below, are pictures of the latest (and most would argue “not greatest”) uniforms that the Ducks are set to break out, in this case for the 2012 Rose Bowl. Really though, to call them “uniforms” is an understatement, as they seem to be much more “costumes” that look like they belong in a football movie set in the year 2145. The program which has been built in large part on the money of Nike head-man Phil Knight is back at it again, and what they’ll be wearing on January 2, 2012 simply needs to be seen, to be believed.

From here, we’ll just let the pictures do the talking, with all of pictures available at Nike’s official website.

Enjoy…
